Kentucky Refugee Ministries-Urgent Needs for families

by Carol Young

Kentucky Refugee Ministries (KRM) and Catholic Charities are receiving large numbers of refugees between now and September 30.( 200 families) Our need for additional household items, volunteers and sponsors is at its peak. There is a great need for basic furniture, kitchen tables, chairs, dressers, sofa's, lamps, small tables, single and double mattress sets and bed frames in good repair.

KRM Summer camp

Most refugees arrive with very few personnel possessions. Some are fortunate in that they have relatives or church sponsors who are able to help them in the first three to four months. Others who do not have sponsors need our help to acquire basic necessities such as furniture and children's basic school clothing.

If you or members of your congregation would like to help please call KRM at 479-9180 EXT 14 or visit our wish list by clicking here.
